PLAN (Professional LAN Analyst) is an intensive training programme aimed at networking professionals, engineers and analysts that are responsible for maintaining and supporting local area networks.
You have taken the first step towards building your career in networking and promoting better working practice throughout the industry. To remain competitive and succeed as you pursue your career in this dynamic industry, professional training is required to extend your knowledge and strengthen your professional options.
The PLAN training course is a standard certification programme. Training takes place over seven days and is divided into three modules to be completed over twelve months.
Assessments are part of the PLAN programme, put in place to ensure the attendee reaches the required level of understanding. Assessments take the form of daily progress tests and a final examination involving theoretical and practical exercises.
Upon completion of PLAN 1 Ethernet, delegates will gain increased skills in the effective management, maintenance and support of Ethernet networks.
Understand basic Ethernet LAN technology.
Identify faults in Ethernet cabling and LAN components.
Apply a structured approach to troubleshooting.
Use diagnostic tools to identify network problem
Upon completion of PLAN 2 Protocols & Services, delegates will gain the background knowledge and experience to effectively troubleshoot TCP/IP and Windows based networks to reduce network downtime.
Understand how protocols operate and affect network performance
Diagnose problems on TCP/IP based networks
Use SNMP and RMON to effectively manage and troubleshoot networks
Profile applications to identify the impact they have on networks
PLAN 3 involves a final assessment of the Professional Lan Analyst training course. The assessment takes place in the candidates working environment. In the event that the candidate is unable to provide suitable test equipment Kenson will provide a protocol analyzer and cable tester.
